Here at the Wolfgangsee you are at one of the cleanest lakes with a visibility depth of 10 meters and therefore also popular for our swimmers and diving enthusiasts.

Many events such as concerts, traditional evenings, the famous Advent market with boat trip, alpine pasture drives with marquee, Wolfgangsee run, mountain bike races, etc. round off the holiday program.

Make a pilgrimage to the nearby Falkenstein (785 m ) with magnificent views of the lake and the mountains. A popular destination for climbers and cliff jumpers.

Discover the picturesque Fürberg Bay with the small island Ochsenkreuz, the Falkenstein Chapel, the famous pilgrimage church in St. Wolfgang as well as the viewpoints, which we call "gschmoh Platzln".

The starting point on the striking Schafberg (1,783 m), whether by rack railway or on foot, can be reached by a short ferry ride.

A boat trip on the Wolfgangsee with the paddle steamer should not be missed.

From St. Gilgen, the new gondola lift takes you up to the Zwölferhorn with great views, refreshment facilities and various hiking trails for the descent.

Discover the spa and imperial town of Bad Ischl, EU Capital of Culture 2024 Bad Ischl can be reached in 15 minutes by car and you can discover the famous Kaiservilla, where Emperor Franz Josef and his Sissi spent the "summer retreat", the Kaiserpark , the K&K Hofbäckerei Zauner and much more.

From Bad Ischl the way leads to Hallstatt. A popular destination with small streets and houses, the famous salt mine with underground salt lake, and much more...

Other salt mines are located in Hallein and Altaussee.

On the Traunsee, one of the Salzkammergut lakes, lies the town of Gmunden with Europe's largest ceramics manufactory, another example of genuine craftsmanship in the Salzkammergut.

Experience an unforgettable day with your children with a painting workshop at the Gmundner Keramikmanufaktur. 

At a distance of 35 km lies the famous city of Salzburg. You can reach the city by car or public transport. Top sights include the Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace, Mozart's birthplace in the Getreidegasse, the Mönchsberg, the Kapuzinerberg with the Franziskischlössl, the Domquartier, Hellbrunn Palace with the zoo and also Hangar 7 and the Porsche Museum should be visited.

Near Salzburg in Henndorf lies the famous Aiderbichl Manor - a sanctuary for more than 1000 rescued animals.

Discover one of the best views from the Dachstein Skywalk, accessible via A 10, with the Ice Palace, the Stairway to Nowhere and the Suspension Bridge.
